Logic and Reasoning

19 Years

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nineteen years since the World Trade Center was attacked and over 3,000 people lost their lives.

At first I didn’t believe the towers collapsed until I saw it on the news. I was thinking of the bomber that flew into the Empire State Building and fire. However, that was a propeller driven bomber so was not flying at the same speed, it was smaller, and had a lot less fuel.

I’m irritated at those who claim the government had a conspiracy to bring down the towers. I was a volunteer firefighter. The average hours first reached 3,000 degrees F. The metal I-beam used to support it will twist like a pretzel. It is very reasonable that a full size passenger jet flying over halfway through the building full of jet fuel would weaken the structure on one floor and cause the floors above to fall.

Anyone who believes all the conspiracy series is one of the millions of pictures under the word gullible in the dictionary.

People died. Children lost parents and grandparents. Wives and husbands were widowed. Siblings lost brothers and sisters. Aunts, uncles, cousins, best friends. We won’t get them back.

We went after bin Laden in Afghanistan and took our eyes off the ball to go after Saddam Hussein. That had manipulated intelligence and Colin Powell was the patsy. If we wanted to liberate Iraq, it should have been when the people of Iraq rose up against Saddam Hussein after the first Gulf War. But no, we stood by an let him murder his people. Their might have been a stable Iraq.

Now we are left with an unstalbe Iraq and afghanistan, and Syria is a mess.

COVID-19 has hit Iran hard, and Trump is in a pissing contest with them.

I won’t be surprised if there’s another regional war soon. I sure hope I’m wrong.
