Book-keeping Notes, Session 60 (6/10/15):

– The session ended with the entire party resting at Ghermin’s compound on the edge of the adventurers’ encampment in Xen’Khel’s upper city. It is the evening of the 24th of Anurilden.

– Please mark off two days of rations for all party members — that’s twenty PCs/hirelings and a menagerie of animals. No oil was consumed since you had several sources of magical light.

– Several members of the party will need a week of training before venturing back into the depths and I will provide details about possible training arrangements in a subsequent post. Briefly: fighters, mages, and rangers should not have any problem finding trainers in the camp. Clerics are iffy — assuming Brice has the gold to train (I will need to check) — and monks would be problematic.

– Although we will likely be fast-forwarding time a bit next session for the training, there are some issues that will not wait a week (Ansfrid, Haakun Colm and the dwarves, etc.). We will address those first.

– Deaths: No one

– Candidate for the Starchie Boyz’ Heavy Metal Album Cover: Naked 13-inch monk riding an invisible owl through an arrow slit (imagine the owl drawn like Wonder Woman’s airplane).

– Knocked Unconscious: No one

– Permanent Injuries: No one

I just found out today that I have to go on client site out of state to give at least three days of training the week of June 22nd. I don’t know yet which 3 days and if it will impact my ability to play on Wednesday of that week.

Once I know if it will impact the game, I will let you know.

I will do my best to make sure I am in a motel Wednesday evening, so I can be sure to play.

Quick Book-Keeping Notes on the Party’s Downtime

Quick Book-Keeping Notes on the Party’s Downtime

As mentioned in the book-keeping notes, the party will be resting beyond the portal in their safe place from the evening of the 22nd of Anurilden until noon on the 24th while the rescue party digs out the temple. That’s forty hours that the party has to engage in various downtime activities. Here are some quick notes about this period and what is accomplished.

1. The party is not carrying enough water and they have not found any sources in their safe place. Therefore, Brice will be using a spell slot for Create Water during each rest period to replenish the party’s supply. That should be sufficient since each casting creates 8 gallons and we can say each party member and animal needs 1 gallon a day (not totally realistic, but close enough and simple to remember).

2. Brice can rest and memorize her spells nine times. Assuming she holds onto the last set for use during the session, that’s eight sets of three cure light wounds (the fourth slot going to create water); I rolled that she can heal 109HP with those spells, which is more than enough to bring everyone to maximum health before even adding in Uthruk’s ability to heal. I have updated the Roll20 sheets accordingly.

3. Fitz Ravan would have the opportunity to copy two spells from Finklemur’s spell book and vice versa. Wellington Thomas can choose his spells and roll to see if Fitz is successful is copying them at the beginning of next session. I believe Detect Magic and Nystul’s Magic Aura are the only new spells for Finklemur in Fitz’s book and someone can roll for Riese Fork to determine the success of that copying, too.

4. Belroar would have plenty of opportunity to finish his work on the elephant stomach water skin and the hide shield. Jacob Sturges, remind me if there were any other crafting projects you were attempting and I will let you know their results/status.

5. Please let me know if there is anything else you would like your character to work on during this time in the comments.
