I believe the bowl and wand were both taken with you in mind.
Edit: Also, the research notes indicate the location of the imperial research station that worked on the sonic weapon. These notes are not part of the deal with the Devil Fish.

Yes, it does — which is intriguing since those locations are dwarven and this one is supposedly imperial (meaning the more recent kind with the colonials and whatnot).
I suspected as much – the plot thickens!
