  1. Also:

    1. Master Dain identified the shadow stepping manual (two weeks intermittent or one week intense study will allow a monk to step through shadows from one place to another; limited to once per day and 10″/level)

    2. Master Dain wrote a script for 1,400GP (150GP for the nine other dervish books and 50GP more for the sermon papers).

    3. Finklemur identified the two scrolls as Burning Hands (level 1) and Fireball (level 3)

  2. The pearl needs to be sold first — also, I will have your comment ready to cut-and-paste into chat when Finklemur miscalculates the area of effect on his Fireball and causes the campaign’s first TPK.

  3. Well, the script can be redeemed from any sizable Ark temple or cathedral since the Order of the Celestial Dragon has entrusted their finances to that institution during their diaspora.

It takes one round to find the seams of reality in a shadowed area (and it is always the last action of the round); the other criteria is that the other end of the step (i.e., the other shadow) must be within view of the dervish/monk. Movement through the seam doesn’t automatically mean the stepper is hidden — although he can make a new hide-in-shadows roll after crossing to the other location regardless of whether he had previously succeeded.

Other monks can learn to Shadow Step and Master Dain has made it clear that the Order would like to have the book (for suitable recompense) once Chuq has finished training. Chuq himself could pass along the knowledge with the same limitations (i.e., two weeks intermittent study or one week intensive; serious interruptions in study require the training to restart from the beginning).
